Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Medical Assistant in the Outpatient Psychiatry program at Behavioral Health Network!
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Outpatient Psychiatry program with the following:
- providing services to individuals and coordination/support to psychiatrists and APRNs.
- Measuring and recording vital signs as needed.
- Providing assessments of individuals prior to their medical appointments, as needed.
- Identifying, evaluating, and responding to changes in individuals’ condition, including. laboratory reports, and reports findings
- Utilizing electronic prescription for all prescription needs.
- Taking medication orders from psychiatrist/APRN and phones in to pharmacy if needed.
- Completing paperwork related to service in a quality and timely manner.
- Providing education to individuals regarding their medication or other health issues.
- Maintaining supplies, equipment and sample medications.

What are we looking for in a Medical Assistant?
Qualifications/Requirements.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English ( required)
- Must have at least one year experience working with a psychiatric population.
- Medical Assistant Certificate or Degree required.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft product, Internet, word processing
and email systems. - Excellent customer service skills required.
- Able to be trained and develop proficiency in other software applications as the need
arises. - Excellent organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be familiar with electronic health records.
- Able to review/understand medication dosages and medication instructions.
- Able to take blood pressure.
